Case Management for the 21st Century

ICMS is a proprietary software program developed by Insight Services Group to provide consistent, professional and effective management of occupational rehabilitation cases. Based in regional NSW Insight Services Group is aware of the difficulties and barriers that arise when stakeholders are spread across a wide geographical area. When designing ICMS these issues were addressed, resulting is the use of the latest technology and enabling timely and efficient case management of the highest quality. The program was been developed over three years and has been operating as the sole case management program for Insight Rehabilitation for over twelve months.

Since implementation ICMS has enabled Insight Rehabilitation consultants to reach significantly higher levels of case management efficiency and accuracy. Ultimately, this equates to better rehabilitation outcomes and reduced rehabilitation compensation costs.

In-House Application for Employers

The program is suitable for application in any environment in which multiple occupational rehabilitation cases are being managed. It is particularly suitable for employers with a large workforce scattered across multiple locations.  

Software Licenses may be purchased individually for employers with a single RTW Coordinator, or in packages for employers with multiple RTW Coordinators or sites. Best Practice Case Management

The ICMS analytical and management tools ensure service levels are maintained and consultants are encouraged to achieve best practice standards on a daily basis.  The ICMS reports and tools relevant to managing staff performance include:

  • RTW rates
  • Compliance with service level agreements
  • Current file barriers
  • RTW status
  • RTW goals
  • Current medical certification
  • Costs to date
  • Average daily billable hours
  • Caseload, incorporating the age of a file/referral

Paperless File Management

Fully integrated, the program stores all information relevant to a case, tracks cost and manages timeframes, deadlines, approvals and response times. ICMS may be used as a single user program, or across a network.  At Insight Services Group all data is housed on a central server, providing our staff and sub-contractors with access to case files and real-time data from anywhere they can access the internet, via a web interface. The highest levels of security have been implemented to ensure that the system cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons.

On-Line File Audits & Real-Time Data Access

Insight Rehabilitation utilises the on-line file auditing tools to manage quality. With a network implementation ICMS enables cross-office file auditing which is conducted on-line, with audit reports generated directly onto the system, compliance issues noted and file reviews scheduled where appropriate with regional managers.  In addition, referring agents have real-time on-line access to their case files via the Insight Portal, increasing transparency. Authorised supervisors/managers have access to a wide range of statistics and reports relating to:

  • open files,
  • recently closed files,
  • return to work rates & adherence to service level agreements
